Somniscope™ is a voice-powered dream journal with AI interpretation, operated by Iron Axis Digital Studios LLC ("we", "us", "our"). Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
Dream Content
Voice recordings are processed in your browser using the Web Speech API. Raw audio is never sent to our servers.
Transcribed text is sent to our servers solely for AI interpretation, then discarded. We do not store your dream transcripts on our servers.
Dream journal data (transcripts, analyses, timestamps) is stored in your browser's localStorage on your device only.
Payment Information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number.
We receive your email address and Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription.
Technical Data
Standard web server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and debugging.
To provide dream interpretation via AI (Groq / local LLM)
To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe
To send transactional emails (welcome, subscription changes)
To maintain and improve the service
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
AI Processing
Your dream text is processed by AI large language models (LLMs) to generate interpretations. This processing happens in real-time and the input text is not retained after the response is generated. Current models:

Data Storage & Security
Dream data lives in your browser only (localStorage). Clearing your browser data deletes it permanently.
Our servers are protected with encryption (HTTPS/TLS), firewall rules, and access controls.
Stripe handles all payment data under PCI DSS Level 1 compliance.
Your Rights
Delete your data: Clear your browser's localStorage or use the "Clear All" button in the app.
Cancel subscription: Use the "Manage Subscription" link in the app or contact us.
Data portability: Export your dreams as PDF from the app.
Somniscope is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
